Giannis N. Domvros

Giannis is predominately a shipping litigation lawyer with particular expertise in personal injury and crew claims. Before joining the firm Giannis was for twenty years a partner to a leading shipping law firm in Piraeus where he acted for various P&I Clubs, insurance companies, Greek and foreign shipping companies.  He was involved in the handling of major ship casualties, including the cases of Poseidon Express, Dystos, Eurobulker X, Express Samina, Sea Diamond, Yusuf Cepnioglou, Norman Atlantic.

Giannis has been actively involved in a wide range of shipping, civil, penal, commercial and administrative law litigation and he has handled numerous crew illness and accident cases, crew wages’ disputes, cargo cases, marine insurance, ship arrests, salvage, collision, grounding and sea pollution cases, both litigious and consultative.

Giannis is a lecturer of International Shipping Law, Carriage of Goods by Sea and Marine Insurance at Aegean College and Omiros Institute of Professional Education.
