CMI Tokyo Conference 2025

The senior partner, Gregory J. Timagenis, Yiannis G. Timagenis and Mariangela P. Vlachou participated in the prestigious 2025 CMI – Comité Maritime International Conference held in Tokyo from 12–17 May 2025.

The conference, co-organised by the CMI and the Japan Maritime Law Association (JMLA), brought together legal professionals, academics, and industry experts from around the world to discuss key developments in maritime law.

Yiannis G. Timagenis, in his capacity as Chair of the Young CMI Standing Committee, moderated the final panel of the conference on 17 May, “The Digital Transformation of Maritime Law: A Comparative Examination of Legal Developments and Challenges in Electronic Bills of Lading” and also reported during the General Assembly.

The conference was marked by a strong and notable Greek presence, with the participation of esteemed members of the Greek maritime law community, further highlighting Greece’s active role in international maritime law affairs.
