Once again, Timagenis Law Firm presented one of the most prestigious awards in the Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Awards, held on December 5, 2025. The Firm supported and presented the “Deal of the Year” award category.
This year’s “Deal of the Year” award was presented to Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) in recognition of a landmark transaction involving nine suezmax shuttle tankers valued at approximately $1.3 billion. The vessels were backed by 15-year bareboat charter agreements with Transpetro, Petrobras’ logistics arm. TEN secured this significant contract in the face of competition from over 20 international bidders, marking it as the largest single-shipyard, single-charterer transaction of its kind. The deal positions TEN as a major force in the shuttle tanker sector, with secured revenue streams exceeding $2 billion.
