Katerina handles both contentious and non-contentious matters in the areas of shipping and commercial litigation, corporate law, banking and shipping finance. As Katerina joined the Firm originally as trainee lawyer well before her admission to the bar, when she joined the Firm as associate had already acquired considerable experience in the above areas.
In particular, her practice focuses on drafting legal actions mostly on claims, ship arrests and corporate disputes, advising on procedural, enforcement and conflicts of laws matters under Greek and EU law, corporate structure and formation mainly of overseas shipowning, holding and managing corporations and Greek branch offices governed by article 25 of Law 27/1975 (“Law 89”), as well in assisting clients in corporate and contractual matters of their day-to-day business. She is also experienced in dealing with KYC and banking legal matters. In relation to shipping finance, Katerina has been actively involved in a variety of transactions, acting both for lenders and borrowers, by participating in the negotiating and drafting of loan and security documentation in the context of financing and refinancing of secondhand and newbuilding vessels.
